Dining Room Server
We are looking for a part time Server to join our team in the Dining Room. This position is guaranteed 30 hours weekly and is responsible for providing customer service to residents by serving breakfast, lunch and supper, as well as various cleaning duties.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Serving guests in cheerful, friendly and professional manner.
- Advising on daily specials and menu items.
- Clears and resets tables while ensuring that glassware, cutlery, dishware, salt & pepper and linen is cleaned as required.
- Ensures the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensures the proper storage, handling and rotation of food.
- Restocking service items.
- General cleaning as time allows.
Qualifications:
- Reading and listening skills
- Demonstrated reliability and dependable previous working history
- Dexterity and coordination are required for the operation of cash register, appliances/equipment
- A high degree of speed and precision is required to ensure the proper and timely interaction with customers
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time while serving
Our dining room is open 7 days a week; shifts start as early as 8am; shifts finish as late as 7:30pm. There are a variety of shifts through the day. The successful candidate will be available for all shifts in our dining room; he/she will foster positive customer experience, genuine team spirit and a willingness to work. Candidates should have customer service experience, be able to work as well as team.
